Diane S. Engel, 80, of Melbourne passed away on Monday, January 31, 2011 at her residence. Diane was born in Nutley, NJ on October 15, 1930 to Frederick and Edna Mae Seufert.
She was a member of St. Paul's Anglican Church and was also a volunteer at Angel's in the Attic Thrift store. She enjoyed making stained glass, was a member of the Red Hat Society, was active in the local Republican Party. She also was a member of the Air Force Wives Luncheon Club.
Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Gardner Engel, Col. USAF (Ret.). Her survivors include daughter, Jacquelyn Graves (Frank); step-sons, Richard Engel and Dr. T.G. Engel; brother, Bill Seufert; sisters, Alice Thurmond, Eleanor and June; grandchildren, Tommy and Maya Engel, Emily Engel, Rodney Graves, Sacha Bone, Kimberly LeBoeuf; and three great-grandchildren.
There was a memorial visitation from 6 - 8 pm on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Florida Memorial Funeral Home. A memorial service was held at 10 am on Friday, February 4, 2011 at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 7200 N. Wickham Road.
