Catherine Marie Owen Ruth

Catherine Marie Owen Ruth passed away unexpectedly on September 26, 2024, at the age of 43. She is survived by her husband of 19 years Victor Ruth, her mother Irma Owen, father Marvin Owen, and her constant canine companion Hailey.

After graduating from the University of Central Florida, Catherine held several positions in the aviation services industry before retiring to life as a full-time homemaker. She was a multi-talented individual who continually sought the many joys of life. She loved the serenity of paddle boarding on the river on a quiet morning and then the high intensity of Zumba exercise as both participant and instructor. She was an excellent markswoman with both pistol and rifle. She loved putting her powerful sportscar through its paces. Catherine pursued many hobbies and scoured flea markets from Florida to North Carolina seeking treasures and turning them into beautiful works of art. She loved to travel and visited numerous points of interest across the country with Victor and Hailey. More recently, she visited the Republic of South Africa to explore Victor's ancestral homeland. She had so much to live for but her life ended all too soon. Catherine was one of God's most wonderful creations. She will be missed forever by those who knew and loved her.

There will be no funeral or memorial service. Instead, the family requests you offer a prayer in memory of Catherine.
