Carmine was married to the love of his life Theresa for 63 years. They had two daughters, Theresa (Tom) and Gina (John). He had three grandchildren, Angelique (Tiffany), Jordan (John) and Jay, and two great grandchildren, Coban and Kenna.
He was born in Brooklyn, NY to Leonard and Madeline Abruzzo and had three brothers, all who proceeded him in death. He served in the United States Navy, which he was very proud of.
He had many different jobs in his life, but his favorite job was the one he finished his working career with as a quality inspector with United Space Boosters at Kennedy Space Center. After he retired from USBI, he volunteered with the Rockledge Police Department which he absolutely loved. He was with the department for 12 years before he became ill and had to retire.
He left behind many friends and coworkers who adored him. He had a personality that was infectious and made new friends wherever he went. He loved to have fun and make people laugh.
Carmine was a man of great faith and he was happy to be going home to the Lord and wanted his family and friends to be happy for him. He will be greatly missed by everyone in the community.
A visitation gathering will be held at on Monday, March 27, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 5655 Stadium Pkwy, Melbourne, FL 32940, with a funeral mass beginning at 11:30 a.m.
Carmine will be laid to rest at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery at a date yet to be determined.
