Born in Dawson, GA on August 8, 1937 he came to Brevard County 1969 to work at Kennedy Space Center. Carl worked at the Space Center for various contractors, including Pan Am, Raytheon, CSR and others from 1969 to 1994.
He is Veteran of USAF. Served 4 years servicing nuclear weapons and other electronic equipment. While with Pan Am he flew several times to Great Britain and Europe and enjoyed those trips. He was a passionate reader and enjoyed history especially and Christian novels. His Kindle reader was always with him. Carl had a very creative mind and was know to come up with ideas that made life better. His favorite trip in the US was to the Grand Canyon, Bryce and Zion canyons. He was always glad to get back home where he was most comfortable.
His passion was to serve at the House of Hope, the food and clothing ministry of FBC MI. He worked there in different capacities and enjoyed it very much.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Virginia; sons, Scott (Diane) of Georgetown, TX, Mike (Crickett) of Powhatan, VA; grandchildren: Erin, Wesley, Lydia, Claire, and Holly.
A Service will be held at Chapel of First Baptist Church in Merritt Island at 10:00 am with a reception in Magnolia room following.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be sent to the First Baptist Church of Merritt Island's First Initiative or House of Hope Food Mission.
