He joined the U.S. Navy after graduating high school during the Korean War. After his honorable
discharge, he met and married his beloved wife of 71 years, Elizabeth James. They lived in Drayton
Plains, MI until they moved to Port St. Lucie, FL in 1996.
Bill owned “The Tire Store”, with his son Dan, in Drayton Plains, MI. He loved boating and was an active
member of the Pontiac Boat Club while living in Michigan. When he moved to Port St. Lucie, FL, he
joined the Port St. Lucie Yacht Club where he served as the Commodore for 3 years. In 2005, Bill and his
wife moved to Melbourne (Viera), FL.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Harry Morris Jr., and his son, Dan Morris.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Elizabeth (James) Morris are his daughters, Deborah Johnston (John)
and Susan Hall (Hank), daughter-in-law, Susan (Morris) Wickersham, 5 beautiful grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and his sister Betty Jane Dowd. Bill loved his family and enjoyed spending time with
them.
A visitation for Billy will be held Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, Florida, followed by a celebration of life at 12:00 PM.
Billy will be laid to rest in Florida Memorial Gardens, 5950 South US Hwy 1, Rockledge, Florida.
