Barbara lived on Merritt Island with her late husband, Eden T. Preston, Captain, USN Retired over 30 years. She was an active member and past president of the Rockledge Country Club and was an avid golfer for many years.
She is survived by her son, John Wetherell of Milford CT; step-daughter, Penny Bamford of San Diego, CA; step-son, Eden T. Preston (Buddy) of Bucerias, Mexico. She was preceded in death by her step-son, Alan W. Preston of Bucerias, Mexico. She is lovingly remembered by 11 grandsons and 15 great-grandchildren and by a multitude of friends.
A service will be held at Florida Memorial Funeral Home on February 5, 2011 at 3:00 pm at 5950 US Highway 1, Rockledge, Florida 32959.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to "Homes for our Troops" or your favorite charity.
