He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Judith A. Pape. He is also survived by his four daughters: Veronica (and Stephen) Hubbard, Valerie (and Stephen) Baronkin, Vicki (and Jeffrey) Schwartz and Virginia (and Julian) Bennett, six grandchildren (Leslie Flory, Ashley Russo, Kristina Shute, Zachary Bennett, Jonathan Schwartz, Megan Bennett) and eight great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Art worked at General Electric which he joined in Schenectady, NY and shortly after was recruited into the management trainee program. He retired as the Manager of Quality Control for Gas Turbines at the GE plant in Greenville, SC.
Art was a collegiate basketball player for SUNY in Oneonta, NY. He loved playing golf and traveling with his wife and family in retirement. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Clare’s Home, 1754 Woodruff Rd #170 Greenville, SC 29607
A visitation gathering will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, Florida, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM.
A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, May 27, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St John the Evangelist Catholic Community, 5655 Stadium Parkway, Viera, FL 32940.
