Andy, a person of integrity and much love in his big heart always had a sense of humor and desire to smile!. Although he sleeps now, he awakens to paradise and much joy.  But I am missing Pops already and look forward to his resurrection, and
staying close to his family. 
I'm so sorry for your loss, and your broken hearts.

I knew both Andy and Shirley when we worked for RCA 1959-1962. Both were wonderful people. Then I saw Andy at FIT as a professor when I was working on a masters degree in order to get back working as a programmer. He was an excellent teacher.

I have known Andy and Shirley for many years when we worked together for RCA at the Air Force Eastern Missile Range. I remember when Shirley and Andy worked together in Computer Services before they were married. Later on Shirley and I car pooled together to Cape Canaveral where we both worked as Range Safety software engineers for RCA and CSR. We worked in different sections.  Shirley was in Range Safety Display and I was In Real Time Computers, which provided the real time tracking data for display. I have lost contact with them since they retired. But, Shirley talked a lot about Amy as she was growing up and always "with a twinkle in her eye". 
I am very sorry for your loss and pray for peace, comfort and strength for your family.

My Ode to Andy

I share this ode to Andy, the man I have known 20 years of my life,                                                                                                        a man of principle and honor, sacrificing all for his children and wife.

He had the strength of Rob Roy Macgregor and the finesse of Robert Burns,                                                                                                     a true Scotsman through and through, is something I quickly learned.

The golf course was his second home and boy did he know his way around,                                                                                                making the course look easy, as well as acing the 19th hole I soon found.

He had more Hole in One's then Tiger Woods, and much more swagger to boot,                                                                                  playing a round of golf with Andy, was a lesson in control and holding on to your loot. 

His son went on to becoming a golf pro, guess the fruit did not fall far from his tree,                                                                              he even honored me with his daughters hand in marriage, talk about lucky me.

He had a love for single malt scotch, The Macallan was his choice among them all,                                                                                  it reminds me of a family gathering in Pigeon Forge, our amazing scotch tasting, man did we have a ball.

He was a big fan of Uno's, with a tall draft in hand and family by his side,                                                                                    watching golf on TV of course, the love of the game he showed with pride.

He played bridge each week with his dear Suntree friends, it was a sight to behold,                                               he never missed a chance to play, like a cards super bowl if it be told.

let's not forget his devoted love to Shirley, his wife and soulmate too,                                                                                                        maybe good things do come in small packages, as it happened with Andy and you.

I did not know you when you were young, but heard the stories never the less,                                                                         thanks for letting me share the man I knew, this is for you Andy, may you rest in peace forever, God Bless.

Dad, I miss you already. You are the greatest father a daughter could ever ask for and you are my hero. Your personal sacrifice for your family is unprecedented. You were the one everyone went to for good advice and you were so understanding. I so wish your physical body could have been as strong as your heart. I will love you forever!

I can't even begin to tell of all the wonderful memories as a child that included Andy, Shirley, Robert, and Amy. He will be so sadly missed.
