Alice P. Goode

Alice Pomares Goode, age 86 passed away on Mar 2, 2023 at Viera Del Mar Rehab/Nursing Home. She had multiple falls in her later years with many broken bones due to severe osteoporosis, however her strength, perseverance and resolve helped her to overcome those falls until her aging body could no longer do so. After her last fall she became a long-term care resident and spent the last two years there.

She was born on June 23, 1936, in Hackensack NJ to (Daisy) Marguerite and Wilfrid Pomares Sr. She married Ronald C Goode, Sr. on Apr 23,1960 who preceded her in death in 1984. For many years she worked at the Deli in Walmart in Palm Bay FL. She had a servant’s heart, was a hard worker and enjoyed her job until her retirement.

She loved God and was of Catholic faith attending mass whenever she could. She loved her family and her faithful companion “Pumpkin” her beloved cat. She enjoyed cooking large meals for family and friends, shopping and entertaining – she always said, “the more the merrier”. She lived her life with the character of Christ as was always compassionate, generous, and slow to anger.

Alice is survived by her younger brother, Wilfred (Duke) Pomares; three sons, Ronald C. Goode Jr. and wife Debbie, Robert D. Goode and wife Margaret, and Richard P. Goode; daughter Marguerite Wyatt; granddaughter, Julia N. Connor and husband Matt; grandsons, Steven M. Wyatt, and Thomas A. Wyatt; great granddaughter, Bryn R. Connor.

Please join us in celebrating her life Saturday Mar 11, 2023, at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL 32955. A short, intimate visitation gathering will be held at the funeral home from 12:15PM to 1:00PM with a graveside service beginning at 1:00PM at Florida Memorial Gardens.
