Adrienne Matteucci, 81, originally from Brooklyn, NY, died in Melbourne, Florida, on July 19, 2021. She will be remembered always by her children, John and Rachelle (Tom), grandchildren, Michael (Natane) and Linda, great granddaughter, Mekayla, step grandchildren, Liz (Stephan) and Tori, and her step great grandchildren, Emmy and Judah. She was predeceased by her husband, John, her daughter, Lorraine, her brothers, Eddie and Joseph, her sister, Elvira (Ghighi), her parents, Edward and Betty, and her stepmother, Antoinette, who was a big part of Adrienne's life from adolescence until her death.
She married her older brother's friend, John, on May 10, 1958, who became the love of her life, soulmate, and lifelong partner. She always wanted to be a nurse, but couldn't stand the sight of blood! Instead, she worked at Macy's in NYC and was a mother/homemaker. She then worked in the office for her husband and father-in-law's business, M.P. Santini Moving & Storage. After that, she started working at Miller Import Corp., a fine art importer, as a customer relations sales specialist, where she made some lifelong friends. She retired in 2001 and moved to Florida in 2008, but the Brooklyn in her never left. She loved New York, and she loved her Yankees. She enjoyed going to games or watching them on TV. She enjoyed trips to Atlantic City. She was a member of the Ascension Catholic Community. She loved her family dearly and always enjoyed spending time together eating, talking and laughing around the dinner table. She had an infectious laugh. She enjoyed decorating for the holidays. Any holiday, really! She liked putting up decorations, having the matching holiday tablecloths, plates, and napkins, the holiday towels, and a T-shirt all for whatever holiday she was celebrating at the time. If you wanted to know about the weather, Adrienne was the woman to ask. She was our very own weather girl.
Adrienne's family would like to acknowledge the support and care provided by Visiting Angels, Hospice of Saint Francis, and Autumn House, to Adrienne and her family during Adrienne's final years. God bless you all.
