She was predecesaed in death by her husband of 51 years Donald Edward Drury in 2006, Her mother Clotilde and her father Andrea Patruno of Naples, Italy, her brothers, Antiono Patruno of Naples, Italy, Carlo Patruno of Palavas-les-Flots, France and sister Concettina Nigro of Naples, Italy.
There are many humorous stories of her trying to learn to read, write and speak English, although she spoke many different languages.
Adriana married a U.S. Navy sailor on July 24, 1955 in Naples, Italy and traveled the world for over 20 years. After the Navy, she lived in Rockville, Maryland until 1988 until her husband retired and moved to Florida. She enjoyed being with her family, cooking Italian food, baking and making delicious pastries.
She was a trained opera singer, performing in many stage and musical venues throughout the Washington, DC and Metropolitan areas.
She is survived by her children, Stephen E. Drury of Cape Canaveral, Florida, Lois (Drury) Agramonte of Cocoa, Florida, Carl A. Drury of Cape Canaveral, Florida, her only grandchild Heather M. Myers of Cocoa, Florida, and many extended family and friends througout the world.
She loved gardening and flowers of all kinds including Stargazer Lilies, Gardenias, Plumeria, especially Poppies.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. A Chestnut Tree will be planted in her honor at the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Friends at Home 3680 Canaveral Groves Blvd., Cocoa Florida 32926.
