Virginia A. Dye

Virginia Ann Dye, 78, of Rockford, IL, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, March 11, 2020 in Belvidere, surrounded by her loving family. Virginia was born September 16, 1941 in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Carl A. and Ann R. (Licari) Aradio. She attended West High School. Virginia married Robert G. Dye on April 23, 1962 in Oregon, IL, he preceded her in death on September 2, 1990. She worked as a cook at many area restaurants, and went on to work in environmental services at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center. Virginia loved cooking, family holidays, and took pride and joy in making her Italian cookies.

Virginia is loved and missed by her children, Carl (Janet) Dye, Michael Dye, Daniel Dye, James (Jennifer) Dye; grandchildren, Amber (Mike) Cirrincione, Stephanie (Josh) Liggin, Jessica Dye, Michael (Kayla) Dye, Mitchael Dye, Ashley Dye, Amanda Dye, Brandon Dye, and Jacob Dye, Zachary Wonaroski; great-grandchildren, Olivia Cirrincione, Lucas Cirrincione, Breanna Liggin, and Colton Liggin, Jayla and Jayce Dye, Everett Beverly, Faith Dye, Daniel Dye, Stacey Dye; niece and nephew, Katrina (Ron) Poor, and Mark (Beverly) Aradio; step-children, Robert (Kathy) Dye, and David (Trish Ayres) Dye; as well as numerous step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert G. Dye, brother and sister-in-law, Dominic and Rose Aradio, and step-daughter, Bonnie Dye.

A private graveside service will take place at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
