Shirley A Riley

Shirley A Riley, 75, of Rockford, passed away on Monday, October 31, at Rockford Memorial Hospital, with her loving family at her side. Shirley was born June 26, 1936 in Unionville, MO, the daughter of Frank and Ruby Wheeler and step-mother and best friend Virginia Wheeler. She married Ralph Riley in Rockford in 1956. Shirley was a member of Pelly Road Christian Fellowship. Left to share in her memory are her children; William (Becky) Riley, Bruce (Tonia) Riley, Sheila (Kevin) Conner, and Julie (Randy) Nelson, all of the Rockford area, 6 grandchildren; Melissa, Hope, Caitlyn, Brock, Trevor, and Jordan, 4 great-grandchildren; Terry, Terris, Brooklynn, Arianna, extended children; Debbie, Carol, Jerry, Brian, and Mike, and 6 siblings; Lois Elaine, Eileen, Frank, David, Ginger, and Keith, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, mother and father, and 2 siblings; Larry, and Doris. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 4, from 6-8 p.m. at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, 7000 W State St Rockford 61102. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 5, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, burial will follow at Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery in Pecatonica. Rev. Jerry Hall will conduct the services.
