Ruth Frazier

Ruth (a.k.a Doog) was born in Nicholls, Georgia, to William and Georgia (Wilson) Bagley. She was one of thirteen children. She loved spending time with family and gardening. She “appreciated” exchanging flowers with family and friends. Ruth shared a very strong bond with her sisters that was witnessed by everyone that knew them. She raised 4 children, teaching them about Jesus and pushing them to succeed in life. She would do anything for her children, including donating one of her kidneys to her son Roy. Ruth retired from Greenlee Textron.

Ruth will be missed by her sister Mary (Denny) Strahorn, son Chad (Tanya) Frazier, daughter Penny (Patrick) Glavin, daughter-in-law Kim Frazier, grandsons Ricky (Kristin) Frazier, Christopher Frazier, Rodney Frazier, Gage (Tari) Frazier, Robert Johnson Jr., Shane (Elizabeth) Glavin, Roger Glavin, Ryan (Alyssa) Simmons, Brandon (Kaidie) Simmons, granddaughters Courtney (Vince Jr) Heywood, Tia Frazier and Stephanee Glavin, and many great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, sisters Beverly, Marge (Sis), Jenny, Esther, Barb, and Martha, and her brothers Bill, Grady, Don, Elbert and Jim, and her sons Ricky and Roy.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 12pm until 1:30pm at First Love Fellowship (629 Vincent Ave, Rockford, IL 61102).
