Robert E. Kerby

Robert E. Kerby was born on June 12, 1940 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to Dorris and Lucielle (nee Martin) Kerby. On July 6, 2020 Robert passed away surrounded by his loving family. Robert married the love of his life Beverly Wilson on July 13, 1958 in Okean, Arkansas. He worked 35 years for Joseph Behr & Sons. Robert was a scout master, square dance caller and a previous owner of Emerald Acres Campground in Pearl City.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Beverly (nee Wilson) Kerby; Cherished children, Dale Kerby, Janet (Denny) Harding, Wayne (Mary) Kerby, Greg (Catherine) Kerby; 7 adored grandchildren,10 adored great grandchildren and several adored step grand children; Dear brother, Raymond Kerby and sister, Myrna Lemmons; Several nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sue Jones.

A Memorial Celebration of life Visitation will be held Thursday, July 9, 2020 from 2pm until 6pm at Advantage Funeral Home (7000 W. State St, Rockford, IL 61102). In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Cancer Center (3535 N. Bell School Rd, Rockford, IL 61114).
