Montgomery was employed for many years as a truck driver for Steiner Electric Company.
He is survived by his parents; Brothers Wade (Sue) Miller, Jess (Natalie) Miller; a sister Melinda (John) Cygnor, several nieces and nephews and many close friends who cared deeply for him.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2012, 6 pm at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services, 7000 West State Street in Rockford, IL. A funeral service will be held at Advantage on Friday, March 9, 2012 at 10:30am. Pastor Robert Bixby will be officiating.
