Miriam Guillermina Carrillo, 68, of Chicago, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017. Born on August 20, 1948 in San Jose, Costa Rica. Married Richard Tuttle in 1971. Together they moved to Park Forest in 1973 residing in the south side of Chicago. Miriam worked as a housekeeping manager for various Chicago hotels and Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
Miriam went back to school at Harold Washington College where she obtained her Associate’s degree, then Roosevelt University where she obtained her Bachelor's degree, and UIC where she obtained her Master’s degree in education. Miriam became a teacher for Armour Elementary School where she taught kindergarten and English as a second language until her retirement in 2008. Active member of Moody Bible Church in Chicago.
Survived by her son, Dylan (Madison Zuverink) Tuttle; grandson, Sigge Tuttle; half-siblings, Lucila, Luis and Jorge; nephew, Roy Mora. Predeceased by her parents.
