Mary Sue Young Ross departed this earthly life on May 26, 2024 after a short illness. She was born December 3, 1940 in Chidester, Arkansas, the daughter of Lonzie and Autrice Young. She attended Rockford Public Schools. She was employed by Quaker Oat’s Co., Rockford Memorial Hospital, and United Parcel Service (UPS) prior to retiring.
Mary Sue leaves to cherish many loving memories, her children, Audrey Ross, DeWayne (Marilyn) Ross, Nathaniel (Vernetta) Harris, and Annette (Michael) Jones; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; five sisters, Joyce Triplett, Sherry Howard, Bonnie Young, Teri Oliver, and Colleen Young; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Lonzie and Autrice Young; son, Steven Ross; brothers, Lonnie Young, Robert Young, Clarence Young, Charles Young, and Dale Young; sister, Anne Mae Young; and granddaughter, Rachael Ross Golden.
