Mary E. Moore, age 81, passed away in Rockford, Illinois on February 24, 2025. She was born January 26, 1944 in Rockford, Illinois to Kenneth and Florence (King) Graham. Mary graduated from Durand High School in 1962. She married the love of her life, Harlan P. “Pete” Moore on January 15, 1966 and he preceded her death in 2013. Mary has worked at Arnold License Services since 1982.
Mary was a member of the Order of the Elks, Moose Lodge, and Lombardi Club in her younger years. She was a social butterfly, her favorite things to do were going out with her friends and meeting up at the 3LLL Club. Her children remember her being incredibly involved with their activities at school, as a PTA mom, Den Mother, and volunteering with elementary school classes. She enjoyed reading. Most of all Mary enjoyed spending time with her family.
Mary is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Angie) Davis, Harlan P. (Michelle) Moore Jr., Kenneth Joseph Moore, Frank (Monica) Moore, and Nancy (Gerardo) Lopez; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; sister, Peggy Fredrickson; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
She is reunited with her husband of 47 years, Harlan P. Moore Sr; parents, Kenneth and Florence Graham; and siblings, Nancy Graham, Joan Stafford, Barbara Walsh, and Jack Graham.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Association.
A visitation for Mary will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services, 7000 West State Street, Rockford, Illinois 61102, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.
Mary will be laid to rest in Willwood Burial Park, 7000 West State Street, Rockford, IL 61102.
