Marleen L. Moss

Marleen Louise (Myhre) Moss, 69, of Rockford passed into heaven on November 26, 2018 with family at her side. Marleen was born and raised in Elgin on November 20, 1949, the daughter of Gordon and Leora (Hameister) Myhre. She married the love of her life, Terry Lee Moss on January 30, 1971, and they were together for 48 years. She was a devoted mother to Trisha and Todd. She had many occupations but the one she loved most was taking care of her son and daughter. She accepted Jesus into her heart in 2008 and loved God and her church, Church on the Rock. Her passion there was to work in the coffee shop and loved talking to everyone and giving an ear to who ever needed it. In 2010 she became a grandmother for the first time and her triplet grand kids were the loves of her life. She absolutely loved being a grandmother. She had many hobbies but the ones that were her favorite were crocheting and knitting. She loved looking into family history. She loved her whole family more than anything. Marleen is survived by her loving husband Terry; children Trisha Moss (Ray) Zinkel; grandchildren Sam, Violet and Sterling Zinkel; sisters Marsha Myhre Meyers and Margo Myhre Page; many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews,

Marleen was preceded in death by her parents; son Todd Moss.

Memorial service to celebrate Marleen's life will be 4:00 pm Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Church on the Rock on Manning Road in Huntley, IL. 60140; visitation for Marleen will be from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Sunday at the church. In lieu of flowers, donation are suggested to the family to help with funeral expenses.
