Anyone who knew Cindy (Mom, Granny) knew she was gentle and kind and had a close personal relationship with God. She lived her life knowing she would be in Heaven someday and we know she is there, enjoying paradise, which is sipping decaffeinated coffee, eating little chocolate donuts (very slowly) and reading Bible verses with God at her side. We will miss her smile and her shy way of giggling at everything we said whenever we had the whole family together.
Lucinda "Cindy" Snider Dean was born in Rockford, Illinois on March 15, 1943 to Charles (“Ernest”) and Beryl Cridlebaugh. Cindy attended Rockford East High School. After graduation she went on to nursing school and got her degree in nursing. On November 6, 1965 she married the first love of her life, Jack Snider. Cindy and Jack built a life together, having three beautiful children: Sheri, Jamie and Marty. In 1993 Jack passed away. Cindy found love again and married Don Dean on April 5, 1997. Don passed away in 2007. Cindy's kind-hearted nature and dedication to helping others touched many people throughout her nursing career and most of all, her years as a nanny. Her light and beautiful heart will be missed deeply by all her friends and family.
Cindy is survived by her children: Sheri (Jay) Barton, Jamie (Kathy) Snider, and Marty Snider; her grandchildren: Jacob, Justin, and Jacklyn Snider and Sly and Ren Vredenburg; her sisters: Barb (late Dennis) Clark and Bonnie (Harold) Hayes; her special caregiver: Connie Papini; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her first husband Jack Snider and her second husband Don Dean.
There will be a private family service and interment on Monday, April 27, 2020. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for their care of Cindy. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made out to the family, who will designate them to an organization at a later date.
