Isaac Admond Bassett

Isaac Bassett, 70 of Minneapolis, MN, died May 25, 2014. Born July 26, 1943 in Rockford, IL to Lessa Marie and Earl Wesley Bassett. Isaac wed Lauticia Williams in 1964 and to this union two children were born. Isaac relocated to Minneapolis, where he later met and married Helen McMickle. Through their union another daughter, Hannah C., was added to the family.

Isaac retired from Northern States Power Company after 30 years, and then worked for Northwest Airlines until his final retirement, in 2007.

Isaac is survived by his wife, Helen; daughters, Danita Y. and Hannah C.Bassett; a brother Allason Owens; and grandchildren, Shanetta, Darshay, Daryon, Danicha, Marquis and Matika.

Preceded in death by his son, Isaac D Bassett; parents, Lessa and Earl Bassett; great-grandson, Matthew; brothers, Earl Wesley (Ernestine) and Martin Todd.

Funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Westside Church of Christ, 1523 Morgan St., Rockford. Visitation 10 a.m. to time of service. Interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be submitted at advantagerockford.com
