Curtis Lewis

Curtis Lee Lewis, 81, of Machesney Park IL passed away August 28, 2022. He was born on September 5, 1940, in Harlen Kentucky, to Veda and Green Lewis. He worked in Kentucky in the coal mines, was employed at various jobs in Detroit, and then Chicago. He then served the Rockford community for 43 years employed at Atwood in the automotive set up department. Curtis spent 39 years with his wife, Diane. He was a deeply devoted husband and father. He will be missed by many.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife; Diane Lewis, children; Curt (Vicki) Lewis Jr., Tony (Karrie) Lewis, Brian (Vicki) Lewis, Jeff (Zoe) Lewis, Joe (Andrea) Seymour, Kathy (Will) Rowald, Threasa (Lyle) Shank, as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He is also survived by his sisters; Brenda and Daisy, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

He is welcomed into heaven by his parents, Veda and Green Lewis; and his brothers; Green, Harvy, and David.

A visitation will take place Tuesday, September 6, at 1pm at Advantage Funeral Home. Located at 7000 W. State St. Rockford, IL. Funeral to follow at 2pm. Burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
