Carol L. Harris, 61, of Rockford, IL, passed away on December 12, 2022. She was born in Rockford, IL on December 7, 1961. Carol attended Roosevelt and then went on to Rock Valley College to pursue her Nursing Degree. She married Don Harris on April 29, 1987 and together they had 4 children. Carol worked for 16 years at Chrysler in Belvidere, IL. She was a member of City First Church. Carol loved gardening, planting flowers, cleaning her house, fishing, but most of all she loved riding the motorcycle with her husband. You would never see Carol without a Diet Coke in her hand. She loved her family and would do anything to protect her children. Carol will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Carol is survived by her husband of 35 years, Don; her children, Bruce (Joanne Wygans) McKinney and Joshua (Rose) Harris; her grandson, Christian Harris; her siblings, Lisa Merritt and Rick McCormick; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Brenda Young; her daughter, Jennifer Harris; and her son, Andrew Harris.
Funeral Service for Carol will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Advantage Funeral Home, 7000 W. State St. Rockford, IL 61102. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the start of service. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, 8800 N. Alpine Rd., Machesney Park, IL 61115. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
