Timothy Thomas Daxon

Visitation will be held Monday, July 9, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Hodgson Funeral Home, Rock Island. A time of remembering and sharing by family and friends will begin at 7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Cremation and inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to the family.

Tim was born on April 21, 1965 in Rock Island, the son of Ronald Arthur and Roberta Jane (Menz) Daxon. He graduated from Rock Island High School in 1983. Tim worked in sales at Bob Ericksen Chevrolet-Buick in Milan. In earlier years, he worked at the Eagle Grocery Warehouse in Milan.

Tim was an avid sportsman, playing baseball and football in high school, and in recent times golfing and fishing with his son, Dylan. He loved watching his son’s progress as a golfer, and Tim recently found an enjoyment in motorcycling.

Survivors include his son and best friend, Dylan Daxon, Taylor Ridge; siblings, Dawn Daxon, Moline, Kim Lacefield, Rock Island, Debbie Putney, Longmont, CO, Dennis Daxon, Falls Church, VA, Tamra Goveia, Milan, Ann Fowler, Mendota, IL, and Patti Wai, Fairfax Station, VA.

Mr. Daxon was preceded in death by his parents.
