BEAVER
Stephen Verle “Steve” Brooks, 70, of Beaver, passed unexpectedly on May 31, 2017. He was born October 10, 1946 in Beaver Falls, son of the late Verle and Sophia (Jovanovich) Brooks. Known by friends as Steve, he was employed as a tool and die maker with Westinghouse for most of his working career and later as a TSA Agent at the Pittsburgh International Airport.
In earlier years, Steve enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his friends at the Monaca PNA. He also had a passion for cooking with a keen sense of identifying ingredients which he could replicate in creating his own recipes. His greatest love was for his family. He always looked forward to whatever time was available to get together and surround himself with his children and grand grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister: Regina Martino.
Steve is survived by two sons: Stephen Brooks, Sanford, FL; Christian Brooks, New Castle, PA; two daughters: Dannielle (Brian) Fitzpatrick, Beaver; Nicole (Tracy) Brooks, Columbus, OH; two grandsons: Darrien and Ricardo “Ricky” Brooks; two grand-dogs: Indiana “Indy” and Kaiah.
Friends will be received Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (GPS 848 Sunflower Road, adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). A service to celebrate his life will be held at 3 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Sam Demarco of New Brighton Christian Assembly, officiating.
