Rodney G. Stopp, age 77, of Midland, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation in South Beaver Township. He was born March 5, 1948, in Beaver Falls, he was the son of the late George and Frances (McNeal) Stopp. Rodney was the head of security at J&L in Midland, a proud veteran of United States Marines, and a member to the VFW in Rochester.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda (Hurst) Stopp, two daughters; Nicole Cassidy and Heather. Also surviving are two brothers; Brad and Doug Stopp, and four grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother; Marshall Stopp, and his mother in law, whom he called 'The General'; Mary (Betty) Hurst.
A memorial visitation will be held in Rodney's name at the Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home, 273 Route 68, Rochester, PA 15074, on Thursday, April 17, 2025 from 2pm until the time of funeral services, including full military honors, at 4pm.
