Robert J. Kolter, age 91, of New Brighton, passed away to be with the Lord on Friday, October 18, 2024. Bob was born September 11, 1933 in Beaver. He was a retired Postmaster of the United States Postal Service, a graduate of New Brighton High School in 1951 and Geneva College where he received a bachelor degree in Broadcast Engineering. Robert also served in the United States Army, and served in the Korean War. He was a life member of the New Brighton Croatian Club.
In addition to his father, Stephen Kolter, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Ann (Seifert) Kolter, a brother, Joseph P. (Dorothy) Kolter, a sister; Josephine (Bill) Milligan, a brother John (Mary) Kolter, a son in law, Larry Macom.
He is survived by a son, Robert S. Kolter, New Brighton, daughters; Karen L. Kolter, Las Vegas, Kimberly A. Dwyer, Candler, North Carolina, Lisa M. Macom, New Brighton; grandchildren; Kelly Dwyer, Ft. Worth, TX, Candi Kolter, Las Vegas, Ryan Bogolea, New Brighton, Kaylee Brown, Ft. Worth TX, Kristin Barnes, Monaca, one great granddaughter; Kinsley Dwyer, Ft. Worth, TX, and a new great granddaughter expected in November. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
All arrangements were private and entrusted to the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum).
