Rita L. Abbott

Rita L. (Kagle) Abbott, age 85, passed away on November 15, 2017, surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with cancer.

Born on January 15, 1932, she was originally from Pittsburgh, PA. She spent most of her life in Beaver County where she held various jobs helping her community and was a founding member of the Economy Ambulance Service.

Rita was a loving wife to the late Edwin G. Abbott and is preceded in death by her parents, Isabell and William Kagle along with her grandparents.

Rita was a fun loving, young at heart spirit who enjoyed being around her family and many friends. She had a passion for shopping, reading, going to church and making people smile. She was forever grateful for all of her caregivers and the many people that have helped along the way.

Her memory lives on through those that survive her. Three sons: Russell and wife Teresa Kagle, Paul and wife Lisa Abbott and Dale and wife Jeanne Abbott. Also her adored grandchildren and great grandchildren: Alyse and Chris Mastroianni, Ashley Abbott and Brandon Rencheck, Nathan and Harley Abbott, and Joseph Edwin Abbott; step-grandchildren: Jennifer, Allison and Lori Ann Kagle. She will be greatly missed by all. Friends will be received Friday, November 17th 2017 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 PA 68, Rochester, PA; with a service to follow.
