Mary Ann "Mitzi" Cheney

Mary Ann (Talkovic) “Mitzi” Cheney, loving wife, sister, aunt, step-mother and friend to all that met her, passed away at her Darlington home on December 14, 2021 after a four year battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born September 27, 1941 in New Brighton, PA to Valentine and Mary (Hoodnick) Talkovic. She was a 1959 Graduate of New Brighton High School.

Mary Ann was most recently employed as the Operations Manager Secretary at PGT Trucking. Her love of animals, especially kittens, made her an advocate of the Beaver County Humane Society. She did everything possible to support their fundraising events and provided many hours of volunteer services at the Humane Society Thrift Store in Beaver Falls, PA.

She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years: Maurice “Mac” Cheney; a sister: Frances J. (August) Roberto, New Brighton; a brother: Charles A. (Margaret) Talkovic of Paso Robles, CA; two step-daughters: Heather M. (Mike) Entwistle, Utica NY; and Sarah M. Cheney, New Hartford, NY; grandchildren she adored: Emily and Brady Entwistle, Utica, NY; Evangelina Ruggiero, New Hartford, NY; sister-in-law: Delores Talkovic, numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her brothers: Joseph G Talkovic; Stephen M Talkovic and Emery J. Talkovic; her sisters and brothers-in-law: Barbara M. (Nick) Chavlovich; Ann M. (Alfredo) DeBona; and Louise T. Chaney.

Friends will be received on Friday, December 17, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester, PA 15061 (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). A Blessing Service will follow at 7:00 p.m.
