Born June 4, 1937, in Oliver, PA. She was the daughter of the late Stephen and Margaret Dvorchak. Marlene graduated from Mt. St. Macrina Academy, Uniontown, and went to St. Francis School of Nursing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Dvorchak.
Marlene spent many years caring for others in the health care profession and retired from the Medical Center of Beaver County. During her time there, she worked in the emergency room, the critical care unit, the recovery room, private nursing, and managed the GI Lab and outpatient test center. She was a member of St. Cecilia’s Roman Catholic Church, where she was actively involved for many years. Marlene and Tom loved spending time with their friends in Marlene’s Ceramic Shop. She loved to serve her community and was a Southside VFD Auxiliary member, a den mother for Boy Scouts, and a Rochester Township Commissioner. Following her retirement, she loved to travel, camp, sew, shop, and spend time with her great-grandchildren.
Her memory lives on through those that survive her: her loving husband of 61 years, Thomas Lipnicky; sister, Rita Tornow, sister-in-law, Alla Dvorchak; two sons, Robert and John (Holly); two daughters, Lisa (Paul) Abbott and Rita (Dan) Siget; four grandchildren, Michael (Patty) Lipnicky, Nathan (Harley) Abbott, Cameron and Alexis Lipnicky; and two great-grandchildren, Elle Lipnicky and Joey Abbott.

Friends will be received on Friday from 4-7pm at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 20, 2021, 10am at St. Cecilia Church, Rochester. Private burial will take place at St. Cecilia cemetery.
