Mark A. Sabol

Mark A Sabol, 60, passed away unexpectedly on September 11, 2022 after complications from Type 1 diabetes and surgery. Born on January 29, 1962, to Jaqueline Schofield and Andrew Sabol, Mark grew up in Baden, PA, graduated from Ambridge Area High School in 1980 followed by Slippery Rock University.

In 1989, Mark married his wife Valerie and had three wonderful children. They had quite a journey, living in eight states and settling in Katy, TX. Mark was a thoughtful and smart person who worked extremely hard. He was always rocking in his chair coming up with the next thing to do to plan for his family’s future. It was not uncommon for him to have his calculator punching numbers at rapid speeds. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, watching and listening to the ocean and learning about anything and everything on the History Channel.

Mark is survived by his loving wife: Valerie (Pettner) Sabol and three children: Ashley, Krista and Cody.

Friends will be received Sunday, October 2, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester, PA 15074 (adjacent to Sylvania Memorial Park Mausoleum). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation in memory of Mark Sabol.
