Kathryn J. Carrier, age 89, of Rochester passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Heritage Valley Beaver. Born January 24, 1935, in Rochester, she was the daughter of the late Lewis D. and Lillian E. (Gross) Stoffel. She was an active member of Monaca Methodist Church, where she was former Choir Director, member of the Bell Choir, Secretary of Administrative Council, the Membership Secretary. She also was an active member of the United Methodist Women, the Chairperson for Fundraising Dinners, Chair of the Kitchen Committee and worked with the Apple Fest every year. She was a member of the Eastern Star where she was also in the Rainbow Girls. Kathryn volunteered at the Beaver Area Heritage Museum and the Captain William Vickary House in Freedom.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the late Edward Carrier, and one brother; Lewis D. Stoffel Jr.
She is survived by one son; Mark D. Carrier; three grandchildren, Mark E.L. Carrier, Amanda (Buddy) Hupp, Deborah (Tyler) Keenan; eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Also surviving are two sisters; Jane Tylosky and Carol (Enzo) Ciccone, two nephews, one niece, and her caregivers; Darlene and Ken Parrish.
Friends will be received on Monday, October 28, 2024 from 6-8pm and Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 11am at the funeral home.
