Joseph was preceded in death by his loving wife of 71 years, Dorothy "Joanne" Novak in July of this year.
Joseph was a devoted follower of the Lord, who faithfully read his Bible each night. He was an avid hunter and fisherman that would go to Erie any chance he got to catch Walleye to bring home and cook for his family. Joseph was the founder of Novak Auto Parts, where he spent a majority of his life doing what he loved. The biggest joys in his life were gardening, helping others, and having company, particularly his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his five children, Joseph G. (Nancy) Novak, Kathleen Novak, John (Diane) Novak, Chris Murgenovich, Roger (Penny) Novak; fourteen grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, 273 Rt. 68, Rochester, PA, 15074, where funeral services will be held on Thursday morning at 10am at the funeral home. www.saul-gabauer.com.
