Hope E. Shaffer, age 77, of Ohioville passed away at home on Friday, December 11, 2020, after a long battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family. . Hope was born June 12, 1943 in Vanport, Pa to the late David and Mildred Stevens.
She was the loving mother of Paul, Steven, and Barbara. Hope went to Beaver High School, A & H Beautician school, and Beaver County Community College of Nursing with a degree as an L.P.N. and a Register Nurse.
Hope was the beloved wife of R. Ed Shaffer for 62 years; also survived by a son Steven (Beth) Shaffer, daughter Barbara (James) Bosworth; grandmother to Elizabeth, Steven, and Hanna Shaffer, Lauren and Stephen Hapach, Allison Bosworth; step grandchildren Ashley, Michael, and Jocelyn Wamsley; great grandmother to Zaden and Calab Shaffer. Also survived by her adopted daughter Lizabeth Moore and her daughter Lauren Sherrod; special nieces Sarah, Susan, and Hanna; brother in law David (Pat) Shaffer and Ron (Lila) Shaffer.
Hope was a retired beautician, and registered nurse, she loved her work, especially home health care and hospice nursing. She also loved working in her gardens and yard work, she had a green thumb. Hope was a former Cub Scout leader and a member of the PTA, a registered lay speaker and adult Sunday school teacher at the Midland Methodist Church. She attended the Fairview Reformed Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Paul Shaffer, sister Dr. Joyce Stevens, Brother David and his wife Marianne Stevens and son in law Gary Hapach.

Friends will be received Tuesday December 15, 2020 from 10am until time of services at Noon at Fairview Reformed Presbyterian Church, 6366 Tuscarawas Road Industry, Pa. Memorial donations may be made to, if desired, to the Beaver County Cancer Society or Fairview Reformed Presbyterian Church in Hope's memory.
