Glenn W. Landis, 93, of New Sewickley Twp. crossed over into the loving arms of his savior on February 14, 2018. Born November 19, 1924, in New Sewickley Twp., PA, he was one of six children born to the late Glenn V. and Margaret (Cottom) Landis. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army serving our country during WWII and retired as an operator from Valvoline Oil Refinery.
Glenn was a man who enjoyed putting his hands in the dirt always tending to a garden. He was self-taught in construction and built his own home, as well as numerous barns. Glenn loved dancing with his wife to the music of big bands like the Glenn Miller Orchestra and Tommy Dorsey.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Harriet Jordan, his companion, Marie Stewart; his brother, Asa Donaldson and his sisters, Audrey Holsuhuh, and Martha Remington.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his three daughters, who loving cared for him up until the end, Yvonne (Ralph) Salgado, Glenda Spanos (Steve Daqulanto) and Barbara (Reverend Roberto ) Porras; his grandchildren, Christopher, Aaron, Kyle, Cristina, Ralphy, Zachary, Justin and Christian; his great-grandchildren, Noah and Josie Spanos, his brother, Dale Skaggs and his sister, Dolores Gheen.
Friends will be received Wednesday, February 21, 2018 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC. 273 Route 68, Rochester (GPS 848 Sunflower Road, adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum).
Military Honors will be presented at 2 p.m. in the funeral home by members of the Beaver County Special Unit. A funeral service to celebrate his life will begin at 4 p.m., with his son-in-law, Rev.
