Erica J. Davids, 48, of Rochester, PA, passed away peacefully on the morning of December 25, 2019 after a long and brave battle with breast cancer. Erica was born March 25, 1971 to Donna Scalcione and Anthony Conti in Marlboro, Mass., and devoted her life to teaching. Fondly known to many in Beaver County as Mrs. Davids, she taught kindergarten at Freedom Elementary School for more than 10 years. Her devotion to her students was unparalleled as was her devotion to life. Her infectious smile and eternally positive outlook made her unforgettable to all who met her, and her bubbly personality would fill even the darkest room with light. More than a teacher, she was a mother and her fierce support of not only her children and grandson, but of every child she taught made them feel what true love really is.
Our Christmas angel is survived by her husband, Dennis; her four children, Alison, Maggie, Alex and Tori; her son-in-law and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Clairissa, her beloved grandson, Denny; her parents and their spouses, Donna and Beverly, and Anthony and Sarah; her brother Nick, his wife Carol, and their children; her sister Virginia and her children; her brother James, his wife Gayathri, and their son; a large extended family; and the entire Freedom and Rochester area communities which supported her and her family through it all.
Friends will be received from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019 at the Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home, Inc., 273 Route 68, Rochester(Adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park), where a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020 at 10 am.
