Edith Arlene Evans, age 86, of New Brighton, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021, at her residence. Born December 12, 1934, in Conway, she was the daughter of the late Clark and Amelia (Spithaler) Harper. She was a self employed Housekeeper, and was a member of Unionville United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher. Arlene loved cooking dinners for her family, which was enough to feed an army. Her biggest joy was flowers.
She is survived by three children; Cynthia (Vic Bartolomeo) Evans; Tammy (Dennis) McNear; and Denis Evans. Also surviving are three grandchildren; Joanne (Angelo) Garcia; and Randy and Brad Gavalya; one great granddaughter; Echo Gavalya. And surviving is one brother; Donald (Janice) Harper.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews, as well as her ex-husband Joseph Evans.
