David B. Thomas, 72, of Chippewa, passed away peacefully at his home on May 23, 2020. Born March 9, 1948, he was a son of the late Blaine and Violet (Fauser) Thomas. David was raised in Center Township, Monaca, and graduated Center Area High School in 1966. He worked as a construction manager throughout his career. As a founding member of Beaver County Show Stoppers, he performed for over 20 years. David was a member of the Monaca Turners bowling league and an avid golfer. His proudest accomplishments were writing and publishing two books later in his life.
He has been preceded in death by his parents Blaine and Violet, and brother Jeffrey Thomas. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Cynthia (Farland) Thomas; children, Jason (Samantha) Thomas and Carrie (Randall) Gernhardt; his grandchildren, Braeden, Ethan and Leo; a sister, Kimberly (Thomas) Storar; brother-in-law and sister-in-law David and Judy (Farland) Burgoyne; sister-in-law Joanne (Ross) Thomas; brother-in-law William Farland; nieces and nephews, Melanie, Blaine, Stacey, Tyler, Aimee and David.
Friends will be received Wednesday May 27, 2020, from 1 to 4 p.m. at SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME 263 Rt 68, ROCHESTER, PA. The family will have a private funeral at a later date. Following the CDC Guidelines 25 visitors at a time will be permitted to pay their respects to the family. Please wear a mask and be patient.
