On June 24, 2022, David G. Richards age 72 was reunited with his high school sweetheart, the love of his life, and wife of 54 years, Beverly L Richards, who passed away in December of 2021. While they were apart only a few months, he looked forward to being with Beverly again, and building their cozy and
inviting eternal home. There, Dave and “Trixie” will play host to family and friends he hadn’t seen in
many years but missed every day. The list of welcomed guests includes his father and Mother, George
and Kathleen “Kay” Richards, his in-laws Louise and Ellsworth “Pitsy” Schulte, his youngest brother Greg, his sister-in-law Diane Sheets and her husband Gary, nephew Marty and several special aunts, uncles, and many life-long friends.
David will be missed greatly, but we can take comfort knowing that he is with Beverly and together they
are enjoying each other’s company while keeping a watchful eye over the family: their oldest son, Bryan
Keith and his furry best friend Truman; youngest son, Michael and his spouse Dominque and their fur son Ringo; younger brother Kim, his wife Judy; and several nephews, nieces, special cousins Sigrid and
Richard Brown, Kathy Anderson, and Cheryl and Jim Logan, Dyann Lambert, and Jack Hoskinson.
David loved being busy, and was always there to lend a hand, or take over a project. Over the years, he
passed his “handy-man” skills onto his nephews Mark and Tom and was proud when he would hear
them tell their children “This is how Uncle Dave showed me”. In addition to be everyone’s go-to person
for fixing things, he loved spending time teasing Randi, Michele, Monica, Markie, Samantha, Burke and
Johanna. If he helped or picked on you, you were special and one of his people.
David was not always to most outgoing guy, he relied on Beverly to get the ball rolling. However, those
that got know him through his many years at Babcock & Wilcox and R&L Transport, socializing at the
Twig’s Halloween party, conversation at Sam’s Auto Shop or just sitting on the back porch, loved his
quick and sarcastic wit.
As a means of celebrating David’s life, the family is requesting donations to Lutheran SeniorLife directed
to the Meals on Wheels program. David was grateful for the meals provided when he could not cook for
himself.
