Dale A Degarmo

Dale A. Degarmo, 82, of Hopewell Twp. passed away on Oct 11, 2022, at Good Samaritan Hospice Heritage Valley Beaver. Born May 10, 1940, in Pickens, WV, to the late Harry Lettis and Nora Ellen (Claypool) Degarmo.

Dale retired from the former J&L Steelworks Aliquippa after 44 years of service. He was a proud member of United Steel Workers Local 1211 and a longtime friend of Bill W. He was passionate about family, workers' rights, and helping others.

Dale is preceded in death by four sisters; Anna Nelson, Mary Langdon, Alice Helmick, Lucy Jane Anderson; and a brother, Earl Degarmo. He is survived by his son, Dana Degarmo (Dianne); daughter, Dona Richardson (Jim); grandchildren, Philip Degarmo (Josie), Holly Sater (Adam), and Angelina Fadool; great-grandchildren Jackson and Garland Sater; and his companion Shirley Grag; as well as extended family.

Family and friends will be received Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home, 273 PA-68, Rochester where a life celebration service will be held on Friday at 1:00PM in the funeral home.
