Beryl O. Miller, Sr., 93 of Monaca, passed on Monday, October 24, 2011 at the Beaver Campus of the Heritage Valley Health System. Beryl was born May 9, 1918 in East Brady, PA, son of the late William and Sadie (Ekis) Miller.

He and his late wife Anona worked together at Prothero Electric for a number of years.
In his younger years, Beryl was an accomplished roller skater. His greatest passion was bowling a sport he would enjoy well into his 90’s. Beryl bowled in many leagues throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania. He was a Past Director and President of the Beaver Valley Bowling Association; in 1978, he and his wife were instrumental in organizing the Beaver Valley Bowling Hall of Fame and was later honored as an inductee (the only family of three bowlers that had been inducted); Beryl participated in the Pennsylvania State Bowling Association and the William Penn Bowling Association, an association in which his team had won two championships and an organization which afforded him the opportunity to travel with his wife as she served as the Treasurer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years: Anona M. “Red” Miller on March 25, 2004; brother: Jack Miller and two sisters-in-law: Barbara and Bernice.
