Barbara L Pizzella

Barbara L. Pizzella, 57, of Rochester Township, went home to be with the Lord, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born December 6, 1953 in Coraopolis, daughter of the late Robert Pyle and Angela (Marino) Pyle. Barb was a graduate of DCI and attended the CCBC School of Nursing. She was a Catholic by faith and member of St. Cecilia Catholic Parish, and later St. Francis Cabrini. Barb also enjoyed visiting Victory Family Church with her family. She will always be lovingly remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her mother: Angela (Marino) Pyle, Center Township; four children: Terry Pizzella, Jr.; Derek Pizzella and his girlfriend Michelle Yurkovac; Michael Pizzella; and Amanda Pizzella and her boyfriend Joshua Krepps; all of Rochester; her former husband and companion: Terry L. Pizzella, Sr., who was faithfully at her side during her illness; two granddaughters: Hannah Donaldson and Abigail Pizzella; one brother and sister-in-law: Robert and Celeste Pyle, Center Township; her godson: Timothy Pyle; brother-in-law: Alfred Pizzella and wife Janet; sister-in-law: Sheri LaValle; and dear friends: Bernadette Mehno Jackie Eiler and Sandra Smith.

Friends will be received Tuesday, June 21, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). A blessing service will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Private interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
