Andrew “Andy” Ketterer, of New Brighton, Pennsylvania, was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather “Grandpap.” Andy passed away peacefully at the age of 95 in the early hours of April, 17th, 2024, in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Andy lived a long life, full of love and family. He was born in 1929, in New Brighton, Pennsylvania. Andy was preceded in death by Betty Ketterer; with whom he had a beautiful marriage of 69 years. She passed away in 2017. They had four children: Donald Ketterer, Gerald Ketterer (Loretta Ketterer), Thomas Ketterer (Lori Ketterer), and Bonnie Ritter, and eight grandchildren: Anthony Ketterer, Jennifer Cox, Alyssa Ketterer, Chloe Ketterer, Brian Ketterer, Renae Ketterer, Chuck Ritter, April Ritter. He loved to spend time with his family, and was notorious for beating his grandchildren in uno.
Andy was passionate about sharing his love of the Lord with others. He was a preacher at Pinehurst Alliance Church for over 25 years. Now that Andy has passed into the arms of the Lord, he has joined eternal life with Betty. As he told Donald and Thomas before passing, “I am going home.”
Friends and family will be received on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 10:00 AM till the time of service at noon at the Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home 273 Rt. 68 Rochester, PA 15074. Andy will be laid to rest at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park in Rochester.
