Sue Carol Shire

Sue C. [Ade] Shire of Rochester, New York was born January 9, 1935, the daughter of the late George and Kathleen Ade, and younger sister to Beverly and Kathleen (Gwen) Ade. Sue peacefully departed this life on Tuesday December 6, 2022 at the age of 87.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Charles J. Shire, and is survived by her three children: Lisa (Frank) Combopiano, Karen NeJame, and Daniel (Angela) Shire, eight grandchildren: Kathleen Giancotti, Sara (Brian) Stephens, Joseph (Erica) Combopiano, Kimi NeJame, Anna NeJame (Alec), Rachel Shire, Julia Shire and Dana Gormel, four great-grandchildren: Lily Giancotti, Mia Giancotti, Dylan Thomas and Logan Thomas, godson George Ade, as well as some extended family.

The Shire family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at St. Pius X Church, 3010 Chili Ave., Rochester, NY 14624, where a funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM. Inurnment in Grove Place Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Sue's memory.
