Shirley Jean Van Dewalker

Born on December 15, 1946, in the town of Dexter to the late John & Eva (Ruth) Angus of LaFargeville, NY, Shirley was 1 of 10 children. She married her husband Jack VanDewalker on January 30, 1965. They shared 58 loving years together. For the last 25 years they have been snowbirds. Spending their winters in Deland, Daytona and Welaka, Florida. As soon as the snow was gone they were back in New York spending time in Livonia or in Hammond at the “cottage” with family and friends. Shirley loved being surrounded by those she loved. She liked boating, relaxing in the sun, bingo and cooking for her family.

Shirley survived by her husband Jack VanDewalker, son and daughter in law Jack & Tobie VanDewalker, daughter Jeana Breakingbury and companion Don Burghart. Proud Grandma and Great Grandma to Shawnee & Jake Fox and baby Archie, Jenna & Mike Terry and soon baby Palmer, Jacob VanDewalker and Kennedy Breakingbury. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 16th from 4-8pm at the Conesus Lake Sportsman’s Club 5883 Stone Hill Road, Lakeville, NY 14480. Burial will at Grove Cemetery in LaFargeville at a later date.
