She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Anna Melnyk. Survived by her children: Robin (Dick) Perrin, Dawn Houser, and Dana (Emiley) Houser; grandchildren: Adam, Jake, Dillin, Hailee, Ralston, Austin, Karissa, Jared, Addison, Madelyn; great grandson, Adam; brother, Robert Melnyk, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Shirley retired after a 21 year career with United States Postal Service. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, January 27th, from 5-8pm at the Funeral Home of ALVAH HALLORAN & SON, 2125 Chili Ave., Rochester, NY 14624. A funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, January 28th, at 9:30am. Interment to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
