Sebastian was born in Rochester, NY on Christmas day, 1929, to the late Concetta & Nicholas DiPasquale. He and his four brothers proudly grew up near the Genesee River in Charlotte. After serving in the US Army during the early 1950's, he began a short stint working at Eastman Kodak, where he would meet his future wife, Eleanor. They would marry in 1956 and raise three sons together. Eleanor and Sebastian would spend 42 wonderful years together before her passing in 1998. Sebastian had a very successful career working in the brokerage business. He started his career with George D.B. Bonbright & Co., and then moved to Sage Rutty & Co., where he would retire as Treasurer after 25 years.
Sam or “Sobby”, as he was also known, was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching most every sport on TV. He was known to enjoy a martini daily at 5 p.m., with which he would toast to his wife and pictures of his family. His main hobby after retirement was keeping track of the stock market. He was a longtime devoted parishioner of Our Mother of Sorrows Church, where he faithfully attended the 4 o’clock Mass every Saturday.
Above all else, Sam’s greatest love in life was his family. He loved them all dearly and always proudly proclaimed, “I got the best!” He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
