Crossing the Bar

Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,

We were truly blessed to have him as a friend and neighbor for so many years!  He was a great man!

Uncle Bud,

When I picture you, you are sitting in a lawn chair, in the backyard, sharing family stories.  You were a terrific Uncle and Great Uncle to Jake and Luke.  We were so glad that we made it to Rochester last week to kiss you good-bye, and tell you that we love you.  

You are probably with Donna right now, going over a long list of things she's been waiting to do with you...But I know, based on you as a Father and Donna as a Mother, that watching over Karen will be your number one priority.

Karen – you are an amazing daughter and your love for your parents is inspiring. We were very sorry to hear this news and want to extend our deepest condolences. Hang in there during this difficult time. Know that we are thinking of you and here for you. Your dad is in our prayers.

I always thought of you as a neat guy who together with Donna raised an exceptional, first-rate daughter. Thank you for ALL you've left us.

Uncle Bud at rest now with your loved ones who have gone before to wait for you   I always thought of you as the smart uncle the well traveled uncle and the one to seek reasonable advice from  I will miss so much as I do already  Time does not heal absence  love Sally

Bud, As you well know from our many chats, I admired and loved you.  You were truly a great man.  My life was enriched by knowing you.  My condolences to Karen and family.  And to all of the people who were fortunate enough to have been a part of his life.

Uncle Bud,

You will be sorely missed.  You, Aunt Donna and Karen gave us so many cherished memories and laughter during our many trips to Rochester.  You taught us all so much....including how to play golf....(which we still can't master without your help)!  

We celebrate your life and the honest hard working approach you embodied both at work and at home.  

Although we'll never root for Notre Dame football (especially against BC) we'll keep you in our thoughts each and every game.
