Maria Mercedes Gonzalez, passed on February 8, 2023 at 1:36pm, at Highland Hospital. She was 82 years old. Born on May 15, 1940, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Bernardino Gonzalez and Carmen Luisa Matos.
She was a hard worker. She moved to New York City when she was 18 years old. Maria loved to dance and cook. She loved Hispanic music and her favorite singer was Marc Anthony. She was very proud of her heritage. She had spunk and was well liked by many. She talked with everyone. She will be missed by many.
She is survived by her only child, Enid Magaly Ramirez; her grandchildren: Brittani (32), Armando (250, Sierra (21), and Tyler (18). She has two great-grandchildren, Connor Lucas (8), and Cora Luna (3). They were the beat in her heart. She was predeceased by her grandson, Eliud. We are all very sad to see our matriarch has gone. We love you so very much. See you soon Abuela and Mom.
